Recently I've had the great desire to start painting abstracts and "Epiphany" was my first completed piece. Sometimes you can really surprise yourself with what interests you as well as the new directions creativity can take if you just let yourself run wild. I'm really having so much fun with abstracts that I'm currently working on my 3rd one right now. Anything is possible if you just open your mind to new ideas.
This painting measures: 12" h x 21" w x 1 1/2" d and is currently at Celebrations Gallery:
Lovely!

Beautiful, Ruth! I love the bright colors. Abstracts are something I've never done....maybe I should try it!
ReplyDeleteFun abstract painting! I love the composition and that it's on three separate canvases.

Lovely work Ruth.
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth
ReplyDeleteI think I may have worked my blogger leaving comments problem out, so I can finally say to you LOVE LOVE these ones!!
They are beautiful! I think the red, yellow and blues have so much energy! They would look great in the room with my two red sofas, wouldn't they? ♥
ReplyDeleteWow Ruth! Those are gorgeous. Inspired to "try something different, and run wild" now too! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous Ruth:) I love the colors, the interplay between them and the incredible energy in your work:):)
ReplyDeleteWow this is beautiful! I've never done abstract but I have a friend who wants me to make an abstract piece for him so I'll have to try. You did great with it!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ruth,
ReplyDeleteYour abstract is awesome. You are so right about our painting directions. When my son purchased his home 8 years ago, I painted a large canvas abstract for him in colors to go with his eclectic decor. It was different for me of course, but I loved every minute of doing something out of my category,
Can't wait to see your next project.
Have fun~~ your talents are amazing!
