Fall Giveaway

Well, I've decided it is fall giveaway time. I was just thinking that it has been what seems like forever since I've hosted a giveaway. I've enjoyed my others so much and it is a great way to thank all of you, my readers, for coming back time and again.

I'll be giving away this dragonfly duck egg with acrylic stand that you see above. I was bitten by the bug to paint it because I really enjoyed painting the large Ostrich egg last year, that you see this one pictured with above. That one also has a dragonfly and leaf theme.

In these photos you can see the side views of the leaves and vines and all the gems that have been added for extra sparkle as well.

The back is signed and dated by me...... You can also tell from this photo that the background is a rich, marbled gold, silver and burnt sienna color.

I couldn't resist getting out some of my other egg pieces that I've painted so that I could photograph them in different groupings. I don't really need much of an excuse to get the camera out and have a little fun.

I will have Chris pick a name out of our kitchen mixing bowl (things remain primitive around here, what can I tell ya) on Tues November 11th. This will give everyone a good amount of time to sign up for the drawing if you are interested. All you have to do to have a chance to win is sign this post, letting me know you would like to be entered into the giveaway. It doesn't matter where you live, how far away you are....feel free to sign up for this, everyone is eligible.

I fell like it has also been a long time since I showed a painting in progress so I'm going to be doing that soon as well. I've started a new faux window which I'm really excited about and I've been taking pictures of it as I paint along, at different stages of completion. I'll be showing some of that painting in upcoming posts.

Ocean View Framed Tile Giveaway

In honor of Valentine's Day, I'll be doing a giveaway for the framed tile above. The tile is called Ocean View and measures 6" square and also comes with a peg in the back, so it can stand up. This piece could also be hang on the wall if you wish.

The tile was created from my Ocean View watercolor on canvas that you see above. It turned out to be one of my favorite paintings, I think because I like the look of tranquillity and peacefulness that it seems to have about it.
I'll be listing many more pieces like this one on my new website. So far I've made magnets, tiles, a clock and a jewelry box from this painting.

Anyone can enter the drawing, it doesn't matter where you live. Just leave a comment saying you would like to be entered and in a weeks time, the evening of Tuesday, Feb 19th to be exact, the kitchen mixing bowl will come out of hiding and I will draw a winning name.

In this close up, if you look really closely, you might be able to see one of Dudley's hairs peeking out from under the tile, on my fabric sheet. My life is full of dog hair so it would seem, and if you are very lucky, although I cannot promise it, somehow, a stray Shih Tzu hair might end up in the package along with the tile. Good luck to everyone.

Goose Egg Butterfly & Hydrangea Pendant Give Away

In the spirit of the upcoming holidays and to have some blogging fun, I'm doing a give away this month and again in December.

This is a Butterfly & Hydrangea goose egg pendant that I hand painted and adorned with some swarovski crystals. The pendant measures 2 1/4" in length & 1 1/2" in width. It has a silver bail attached to the top and comes displayed on the ribbon you see here or you can remove that and slip a silver chain through if you wish to wear it around your neck.

All you need to do to enter the giveaway, is to let me know in the comments section of this post that you would like to join in on the fun.

I'll be picking a name out of the hat (or in my case, a kitchen mixing bowl ) on the evening of Monday, November 19th. I will announce the winner at that time on my blog and the pendant will be shipped to its new owner the week of Thanksgiving. Everyone is welcome to enter. You do not have to live in the USA to enter (it's a tiny little box remember, shipping is cheap) , that means my blogging friends in Australia as well as anyone abroad is welcome to put their name in my kitchen mixing bowl. Have fun and good luck.
