Newest Additions

A couple of weeks ago I finished a gourd birdhouse for a customer. I painted it with red Poppies on a soft white/green background.

I would really like to paint one for myself one of these days, it is actually on my list of things to do. Right now though, I'm painting a new mailbox for myself, as the one I have now really needs to be replaced.
In the egg crazy state that I find myself in these days, I did paint a new egg - Purple Hydrangeas. I rolled the egg in many different colors, both watercolor and acrylic and then let it dry before I sketched on my design. Once the Hydrangeas were painted on, I added some crystals for sparkle.
Both the Red Poppy Gourd Birdhouse and the Purle Hydrangeas egg are available at my new ETSY shop - http://www.eleganteggart.etsy.com/

Wow, absolutly beautiful! I adore both the egg as well as the birdfeeder!

Thanks a lot for your nice words on my first pottery balls that I posted on April 1st, I was more than lucky to get such an overwhelming feedback!

I'll try to post some kind of tutorial soon since there seem to be many other bloggers who are interested in pottery, too.

Warmest wishes from a windy Germany!
Anita

Hello, Ruth, your work is amazing!! Are the eggs and gourd real? Poppies are my favourite flower. You painted them wonderfully.
