The Phantom Of The Opera

Last night, Monday, April 16th, Chris and I went into NYC to see my favorite show in the world....Phantom Of The Opera. This is the 3rd time in 5 years that we have been to see this wonderful show and everytime we go, I cannot wait to go back again. Everyone in the show was just fabulous!!!! It was just such a terrific evening, even the drive into the city went smoothly as rush hour traffic was headed in the opposite direction.

I'm also a big fan of the movie and have seen it more times then I can count. We went to see it 5 times when it was in the theatre and if it had stayed longer, we would have kept going. The above poster is the German movie poster. I bought it a couple of years back as I wanted at some point, to do an oil painting for myself of my favorite story and show, to hang up in my own house. I was looking for something a little different then the posters I found here in the US so after searching on-line, I found the German poster and snatched it up. It's still on my list of things to paint for myself in the future. One of these days I will get around to it. Anyone who has the opportunity to see the show, I highly recommend the experience, you will not be disappointed.

Darling fell in love with Phantom last year. She's seen the movie several times now, and it sure would be fun to bring her to see it on stage!

Saw Phantom live on the London stage and in Edinburgh...great music. Loved the film version with the Scottish actor Gerard Butler too.

What fabulous dreamy watercolours with lovely muted tones. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Ruth I was going through blogs and came across your comment on Phantom the movie! I just couldn't believe it!It is my very favirote too! I liked it better than the live show on Broadway!I went to see it 4 times at the theater and it is the only movie I will take the time to sit and watch at home. The scenes shot at the graveyard were breathtaking weren't they!
