More Roses......

It is cold and snowy here today so I'm thinking of warm weather and flowers in bloom. This is an antique dresser set made of porcelain, that I painted with some sweet little roses.

There was some gold leafing left around the rims of the pieces so I accented that by painting the tiniest dots of gold, growning from the vines around the roses. Now that I have finished Christmas orders today, soon I'll be starting on another antique tin and painting it in oils, with I think....some more roses.

So if you are in a snowy and cold climate, I hope these roses I've been showing, will bring a few summery thoughts into your mind.

Thanks very much everyone. This was a fun group of pieces to paint. It ended up being purchased by a husband, for his wife, for her anniversary gift.
