Shabby Chic Pink Roses Jewelry/Trinket box

I finished a brand new jewelry box the other day, I'm having a lot of fun painting these boxes. This one has a soft, large pink open rose and two buds just waiting to open up.

I've put some very washy pinks and greens on top of this light green background, just to give the hint of flowers and leaves in the distance.

The leaves and thorny stem carry around to the side and front of the box.

I'm putting a little surprise on the inside lid of every box I paint.....this one has some leaves.

This piece is available at my etsy shop: www.artfulcreations.etsy.com and will also be listed on my website soon.

Ruth that is so pretty. I love the way the leaves and stem wrap around the side. And the little something special inside the box is a perfect finishing touch!

You've been at it again I see Ruth and how pretty it looks. We both share a love for roses and there are many to see at Bliss right now.

I love it that you also include a little surprise inside the box. My favourite drinking cups and mugs also have a little painted surprise inside them. Have you thought of painting ceremics/porcelain?

Thanks Penny, Jo, Donna, Melissa, Michelle, Suzanne & Maggie. Geez, hope I got everyone there.

Yolanda, I actually haven't thought about painting on porcelain. I used to make pottery, although I didn't paint it at that time. I have learned one thing though....never say never. Who knows what the future holds.

Ruth, the new box is simply beautiful. I never get tired of looking at your work.

And...I just tagged you to list 7 little known things about you. You can make it totally about your creative journey if you want. I know I would find that a very interesting read! Details at my blog.
