Back From My Grand Adventure

After a whirlwind week of traveling in the west, I'm back. Our first stop was Arizona to see the Grand Canyon. My friends and I then drove up to Utah to see 3 other national parks, they were all gorgeous.

I think all in all, I shot about 650 pictures of the different places we visited. I probably took 150 of the Grand Canyon alone, I cannot possible show them all so I picked 8 that I thought you might enjoy. This is me standing at the edge of the Canyon, I don't think I've ever felt quite that awed by nature before.

We were at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and around every turn, there was a new and different photo opportunity, it was truly amazing. If you decide to hike down into the Canyon, it is one mile down and one mile back up. Temps in the canyon, once you start to decend, can get dangerously hot.

If you want to see all these beautiful views a bit larger, just click each photo and you can view them a bit bigger.

I have to admit I was a bit worried when I set off on this trip, that the 4 of us would kill each other, as we spent so much time together each day and did an unbelieveable amount of driving together as well. To my amazement though, it all worked out just fine, we not only had a great time but enjoyed each other's company as well. It all came together to make a fabulous week, a once in a lifetime experience, one that I will never forget.

It is hard to explain but the photos themselves while beautiful, do not convey the majesty of this incredible place. To be there, looking into the Grand Canyon, is truly an amazing experience!!!

In some of my future posts I'll show the Utah National Parks that we visited. ENJOY!!!

I have dreamed of traveling there with my family, but somehow we just haven't made it yet. I particularly loved the photo of you with arms outstretched. You seem to be reveling in the vastness of it all. So happy that you had an amazing adventure and returned home safely!

Blessings,
Christi

Ruth the Grand Canyon truly is a wonder in this world of wonders!
I remember last Spring standing in the exact spots that you are showing us!
One really has to be there to truly appreciates it's GRAND scale! I felt so space in the grand scheme of things as I lloked around at the canyon!I was awe by the quiet..even though there were other tourists around..sigh..I'm ready for another trip there..perhaps this winter when I head for Arizona again.
