Anniversary Trip To Mohonk Mountain House

Chris and I are back from a wonderful anniversary trip to Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you know this is our favorite place to visit. If you love nature and the great outdoors, it just doesn't get anymore beautiful then this.

If you want to read more about Mohonk, they were recently featured in the November '09 issue of Romantic Homes Magazine.

I took so many pictures while Chris and I were there, too many to post all at once so next time I show photos, I'll post some of the gorgeous garden pictures I took on our long weekend here.

The above are all photos of the mountain house and the lake that surrounds it.

We hiked everyday and by the end of each one....we were pretty tired out.

One of our favorite places to go when we're at Mohonk is the Lily Pond...it is deep in the woods and is a very quiet and beautiful place.

Lots of pretty spots to sit and read or just think.

Chris and I sitting alongside the Lily Pond.

I hope you've enjoyed this woodland tour.....it's back to the studio for me, to get working on some new creations.

It's also great to see a photo of you, I like to put a face to a name! And BTW, I love your auburn hair!

thanks for sharing your lovely weekend away; it's looks to be a beautiful setting.

Interesting your surname same as LaDonna; I thought oh that definately had to be that you were related. Me jumping to conclusions and 'assuming' things; I should've given up on that long ago. The fact that you both create seemed that 'it ran in the family'!!
