"Menagerie" - Acrylic Bird/Tree-Scape....Finally!

Remember that really large painting I was working on, the one that I thought would get done and finished just like that (snap fingers together here)?? Well, finally my newest bird/tree-scape "Menagerie" is finished....sprayed, photographed and up on my website.
This painting is very large, I'm calling it HUGE actually at 24" x 36".
Funny how it works in the world of art, my "Stargazing" painting that I created just before this one, came together pretty effortlessly for me while this piece ended up being more work then I could have imagined when I started painting it. Sometimes I think it is better not to know how callenging something will be before you begin working on it and maybe after all, the harder the work, the greater the reward.
This painting reminds me of spring and summer (my happy times), the sky is very vibrant and little chickadees and bluebirds are hanging out together enjoying the sunny afternoon.
Hmm, started my next acrylic canvas and it is a multi-canvas painting, a much SMALLER painting for the time being, which I'm sure will feel like a break compared to this piece.

Beautiful Ruth! I'm starting a large painting this week too. Wish I could share it but it's a Christmas present custom order.

It's beautiful, Ruth! Love it! I think large paintings are much harder to do than small. This one turned out great.

Hi Ruth, This is gorgeous and so worth the extra work to see the beauty in this piece. I am thinking of starting a big canvas soon for over my stove area in a tuscan style design. We shall see if I can get free enough to start it.

Your Clematis is gorgeous too. Mine bloomed this year after it's first planting last Spring. Oh my gosh what a show.

Thank you for stopping by, your kind comment and giveaway entry. So sorry I am tardy in getting back over to visit. It has been such a crazy busy week. LOL

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Ruth

Love It!
Was certainly worth the time spent on this beauty.

Yes strange isn't it how you can never judge how long a painting's going to take

Oh, my it's just beautiful Ruth! I have projects that I look at now, and now knowing how long it took me to complete, I would probably never have attempted them if I had only known! Your efforts and determination certainly paid off!
