"Wheels Of Time" Acrylic Abstract

Last week I just finished my newest abstract painting, "Wheels Of Time". I had so much fun painting this piece, I would say it has to be one of my favorites. This painting was inspired by my weekly walks, I get a lot of wonderful ideas and inspirations from walking out in nature. One of my favorite places to end my walk each day is the cemetery right down the street from my house. Filled with lots of history and fabulous monuments, including that of George Armstrong Custer (my personal favorite) it always gets me thinking about the passage of time and the people who have come before me.
If you didn't think a comtemporary abstract painting could be inspired by a historic landmark....well, here you go, the above is proof that it can be. www.artfulcreations.etsy.com

Hi Ruth
It never ceases to amaze me how and where inspiration attacks us!! I might add, it sometimes is a little slow in showing itself....but sure enough, just when you're not expecting it to...it appears!
I love this canvas you've created...I think one of my all time favs

Hi Ruth,

I think you found your true calling in the abstract - they are stunning. I have always felt that some day I would also move into abstracts - yours are so colorful and happy.
Blessings,
Erin

Hi Ruth,
This is stunning! I love the droplets, they look like little pearls. Everything around us inspires in a different way. You are an inspiration to me!
Have a great evening.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
p.s. I hope you are safe and secure from the hurricane. Take good care my friend.

What a beautiful painting. Exercise and nature (the two combined) seem to bring out my creativity as well.

My husband and I recently checked out the old cemetery that sits in the midst of the woods about 300 feet from our house. Kind of creepy!
