Bearded Iris Garden Complete.........

"Bearded Iris Garden" is complete, I just finished it this past week.  It went through many stages along the way, painting the leaves, flowers and adding all the little details that complete a painting.  I love seeing my work through the eyes of my camera, it lets me know what I'm doing, what needs to be changed and how the painting is progressing.  I'm starting a small companion piece that will continue the theme of this painting, it will be 10" x 10".  Plus I"m adding a little winged surprise to that one.  Maybe next week I'll be able to show a little bit of the progress........

J'aime la manière que se balancent vos iris... Il y a une grande intensité dans vos couleurs.

Hi Ruth, Well this painting turned out fantastic. I just love it and the colors so vivid. Your details are amazing.
Your companion piece sounds like it will be beautiful too. I wonder what little added surprise you have in mind??? Butterfly, birdie, dragon fly? I have to wait and see!!

Have a great and creative week ahead.

Hello Ruth! What a beautiful painting..I love all the wonderful colors. I have always wanted to try my hand at painting but have never had enough nerve to try it. I did do a couple of very simple water colors but that was it. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I hope your week is a wonderful one!

So beautiful Ruth! I love the vibrant colors. I noticed an iris bulb in my yard this morning. They are starting! Yay! Maybe next week they will be blooming.

Hi Ruth,

Your painting background turned out
beautiful and really compliments the flowers. I don't know how you can paint the flowers first and the background last - I would end up with a mess! Yours is fabulous.
Can't wait to see your next surprise work.
Have a creative day.
Blessings,
Erin

This looks great! I love the colors and the shapes of the flower petals. The sky looks really awesome too - all the different blues, and the way you did the texture!

Hi Ruth, Nice to see you this morning. Busy here and just got in from watering the backyard. Our temp is a bit cooler this morning and it is beautiful to be outside.
I bet you are busy working on the companion piece for your gorgeous Iris painting.

Have a creative day.
