There hasn't been much of a spring feeling here in NY, with more snow just dumped on us this week but I'm thinking spring anyway, creating some smaller paintings for the new season.
"Whispers Of The Season" is 8" h x 6" w and the little wren in the painting is enjoying the first days of spring.
"Spring Robin" is 12" h x 4" w tucked away in a purple tulip he is happily enjoying the blooms.
I think at this point I might be painting a tree next or perhaps an abstract or maybe, a combination of both....who knows, I think I'll decide that once I get started.

Oh, I just love these ... one of my very favorite things is wild birds ... oh to be able to fly, how magical and delightful. What a season you're having ... I do believe that the weather has changed so much ... don't remember winters being so long and brutal when I was in NY, but I think it's been getting worse for some time .... just like it get so so hot here and for so long it's unbearable. But, I have to say for the past few weeks it's been glorious and cool ... haven't felt this weather for years around here.
Love and light,
Jan

What a beautiful warm glow! Simply beautiful!
There hasn't been much Spring in Ontario, Canada yet either! Great paintings. I like how you have created a spot-light effect on the birds.
Hi Ruth,
These are so beautiful! I love the colors and those sweet spring birds! If only spring would show up in real life now rather than just on canvas. March has been a rough one! I highly recommend fondue. I know you guys are not much into cooking but this simply requires chopping and melting. Easy and oh so fun!
Have a great week.
