Colorful Glass Pendants For Spring....

I just received my order of these beautiful glass oval blanks in the mail the other day and knew they would be perfect for pendant designs. I've created the first batch of 4, colorful abstracts along with a rose and the popular red poppy design.

The glass ovals are large and smooth and make a wonderful canvas for wearable art.

I had a couple of (do-overs) but when these 4 were finished I was finally happy. By the time I was done with them, I felt it was time to go on to something else so I took a pendant painting break to work on some custom bluebird orders I'll be showing in my next post.

Available soon at my ETSY shop: http://www.artfulcreations.etsy.com/

Contemporary Abstract Pendants

I've been trying to catch up on work in the studio these days and have finally been able to create a few more art pendants. I guess I've been on an abstract kick, these two pendants are abstracts painted and fused onto glass.

I also really enjoy shopping for my jewelry creations.....these new and elegant satin rope cords just arrived in the mail the other day.

I have a contemporary garden painting on 3 gallery canvases that I've been wanting to finish as well. I'm at the point where it is basically done, all that remains for me to do is finish up the last few details and then paint the sides. What is the hold up you might ask?? Well, it is just one of those things, sometimes when I put something down for a while, I just don't feel like picking it up again right away. Today I told myself that I really have to though because at some point you realize that if you have to dust a painting (because it has been sitting so long in the same spot) it is time to do something about it and get it finished.

So that is where I'm at in the land of artwork these days and that is my next goal, to get that painting done and up in my shop. http://www.artfulcreations.etsy.com/

Abstract Glass And Sand Dollar Pendants....

Yes, I'm still on vacation and having a great time running around enjoying myself. We've gone into the city a few times for shows and visits and this week I have a trip planned to my favorite Orchid nursery in PA to spend some of my birthday money from last week. I couldn't stay away from blog land though for a whole two weeks so this morning I've been visiting my blogging friends and also decided to list some of my new pendants that I finished before my vacation.

The pendant in the top photo is called: Nighttime Daisy and the one directly above is: Spirit Dancer. All of the pendants in this post are abstract and contemporary either on glass or sand dollars. All the glass pendants were first hand painted and then the paint was fused onto the glass so that the design would never come off.

Two sand dollars with abstract designs.... Twilight Silhouette above and Kaleidoscope below.

This pendant is Abstract Rose Garden and the one below is Floating Hearts. You can click any photo for a larger view. Before my vacation started I was also working on some double sided fused glass pendants. They are still waiting for bails to be attached and photographs to be taken so they will have to wait until after I return to my studio to make their appearance.

I've taken some nice photos over my vacation that I will be showing upon my return next week. In the mean time, I hope everyone is enjoying summer. The above art pendants are all available on my new ETSY site: www.artfulcreations.etsy.com .
