I'm coming to the time of the year when I'm excited about my 2 week vacation from art work. I'm almost finished with Christmas orders and I'll just be working on things that need to go out in late Dec and early January, then I can take my two week vacation. I kind of feel like little Dudley above, I just want to grab my favorite woobbie and cuddle up with it for awhile.
A vacation from artwork is really important to me, it renews my energy and gets my creative juices flowing so that when I start back up again, I'm ready to go and have new ideas and lots of energy for my work. For this two week period I will literally not go near my paints, I will however mull over things I would like to work on in the new year and perhaps start planning on what I would like to do first etc. By the time I'm done with this hiatus, I will feel refreshed and ready to go.
