I was very inspired by all the lovely flowers I had seen on my Mononk trip and these beautiful pink Petunias were really among my favorites. I showed them a few entries down in my "Inspirational Flowers" post.
I loved the blooms so much that I decided to use them on this tin. I've also been on quite a bird kick these days and have decided to paint lots of them in the future....all different kinds. I've done some Bluebirds over the last weeks/months and decided my next paintings should have Chickadees. This is how I ended up with "Chickadee & Petunias" for the design on this tin.

Hi Ruth, Beautiful tin! I love petunias and yours are lovely. I like your watercolor effect and the way the petals hang so prettily over the edge of the molding. The chickadee is sweetness itself.

Hi Ruth,
What a gorgeous tin--I love the design and your embellishment. Lovely painting, too.

Could you imagine lying upon one's bed gazing up at a ceiling painted in such delights.
The chickadee is perfect, I have one that visits every morning at the hanging feeder bringing her endearing chirps to all that listen.
Yours is on a dainty perch of beautiful petunias.

Oh my my my...I think this is one of my favorites of yours, Ruth! You did such a beautiful job with the painting...and the tin is so cool too. That chickadee is the sweetest!
Ruth, another stunner. I actually think the petunias in your painting are prettier than the ones in the photo. And your chickadee is beautiful, too. Still loving that you're doing those on the ceiling tins... such lovely creativity!
