House Warming Order

I received an order a few weeks ago for my Berry Vine On Gold, Wine Glasses. This order is a house warming gift and hopefully, the recipient will be using these glasses all the time and enjoying them.

I love this particular design because I feel it is delicate, elegant and could go with any decor or dinnerware. I have to say that it is also one of my favorites, of my glassware designs. I never seem to get tired of painting it. The underneath layer of gold, kind of reminds me of gold foil, delicate looking and airy. The glasses however, are not delicate, they go right into the dishwasher with no problem at all. The gems were mine and I thought I would take this photo and include them, they seemed to compliment the design.

I have a glassware section on my website for the time being, but when I switch over to my new website in a few months, the glassware section, while no longer on my website, will be moved to one of my ETSY sites.

Great idea for a house warming. I never knew you could make paint on glass so durable.

Thanks ladies...Jean, depending on what kind of paint you use, it can be that durable. I use a paint that is baked on in the oven, the paint is fused to the glass. I don't think you could get it off with a blow torch. LOL

Thank you Melissa, Gail, Manuela 7 Penny.

Jillian, to answer your question, I don't remember exactly how I got started with glass. I actually don't paint it all that often, I'm more into other surfaces to tell you the truth. But on the ocassions when I do work on glass, I enjoy it.

Hi Ruth,
Your glasses are beautiful!!! The design is so delicate....I can just picture how much fun it would be to be served some bubbly in them. The gems intrigue me...are they removable or can the glasses go in the dishwasher with the gems attached? They are gorgeous!

Hi Dorothy, yes the gems are removable..in fact, you would have to remove them before you put them in the dishwasher. Thanks..and it is good to see you back in the blogging world again.

Working on any good painting projects lately?? Hope you'll share photos!!

Thanks ladies...I wanted to show something different, you probably haven't seen for awhile.

Lynn, yes, I'm still working on my roses, in fact, the next item I show will be a custom order I'm doing for a friend, that has been painted with roses. :) Shabby chic as well, as a matter of fact.
