Cell Phone Mania

I just bought a new cell phone the other day and it got me thinking, did you ever notice how rude the world has become?? It really seems like everyone is on their cell phone these days, talking at times when they really shouldn't. Everywhere you go, cell phones are glued to peoples' ears, I often wonder who they are talking to and what they are talking about, that always just seems so important.

Honestly though, I have a guilty party right in my own house. Little Dudley, just last week, was so wrapped up in his cell phone (I don't know who in the world he's talking to on this thing half the time either) that he would not come when I called him. Only when I came to sit on the couch with a chicken sandwich, did he hang up and come sit by me. Well, atleast it is nice to know where I rate among phones and food.

I guess the call, whoever it was, wasn't good news. Little Dudley then proceeded to go cuddle up on a heap of dirty sheets waiting to be taken down to the laundry. You know sometimes how when we're having a bad day, we just want to curl up and forget the world??

I hope his time on the sheets, having a good snooze, helped his mood.

Little Orchid couldn't seem to understand what was good enough to merit all this picture taking so she wanted to get right up into the lens and find out.
This cell phone by the way, really rings and everytime I hear the darn thing, I start to go for a phone, thinking my phone is ringing or somebody's phone is ringing. If you think your dog needs his or her own cell phone, like little Dudley has, you can grab one @ http://www.dogtoys.com/ .

Oh Dudley and Orchid are SO adorable! Love the cell phone. I'm afraid if I got one for Otis and Riley it would be ripped apart as soon as they heard the ringing!
Have a great day!

Thanks Donna, Jenn & Coll...they are a cute bunch, even if I say it myself.

Coll, I decided what I wanted to paint on one of my emu eggs. I've started it now so it should be ready soon. I'll post the results here. The second egg I'm not sure about, I'm still thinking it over.

Poor Dudley looks a bit down in the dumps. I'm sure a bite of your chicken sandwich helped perk him up.

Orchid has an expectant look on her face, as if she's about to get a treat!

What cute dogs you have! I think Lytton would probably dismantle the cell phone because he'd have to find the source of the ringing. Once the ringer was out, well then he could settle down to carrying his phone around.

Awww Ruth your little fur babies are so photogenic. My great big ol' golden retriever carries a soft fake duck around with him all the time....inside and out. It looks so funny to that that big dog with a stuffed toy all the time.

How Sweet is that!!!! It's funny that you bring up cell phones. While at the grocery store yesterday, I noticed that most of the women shopping, were on their cell phones! I hate talking on the phone and my friends know it. I just can't imagine carrying on a conversation while trying to figure out what to buy for the week. I'm just not that talented! LOL!!!!!!
Hope you're having a good week!
Hugs!

thanks ladies, they really are a cute bunch. I'll try to post some pictures of Willow soon... I don't want him to feel left out by all the attention Orchid and Dudley have received.

To answer your question WG, yes I have painted Willow and Orchid. I did a watercolor of them years ago. It hangs above my couch in the livingroom. I also did one of Dudley years ago as well, but don't care for that one too much. That will be my do over, someday when I get around to it. : )

That's lovely, dear Ruth. I searched through your watercolour section on the right of your blog and couldn't find them...maybe you could add them to that section so that I could see them..or do a post on the watercolours you have hanging in your house? I love seeing them :)

Hi WG, I will certainly put that on my list for things to blog about in the upcoming week or so. I would be happy to blog about that painting and of course, show more cute dog photos. Thanks for asking, I love requests.
