My latest painting, "Simple Elegance" was inspired by all the beautiful varieties of tulips that I photographed during my trip to the botanical garden a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to paint a design that was graphic, vivid and had an elegant simplicity to it.
I painted this design on a black background as I wanted the colors to really pop out from the canvas.
This piece measures 6" x 8", painted in acrylic on 1 1/2" deep gallery canvas.
