Serenity......

I've gotten so drawn into the look of the multi-canvas paintings I've been seeing that I'm feverishly working on a few at this very moment. This painting is aptly named "Serenity" and I hope brings some peace and contentment to those that view it.

Painted on 1 1/2" deep gallery canvas, the painting continues all the way around, to all four sides of each panel.

Serenity is painted in acrylic on (2) 6" x 8" gallery panels that come together to create one vision. Red poppies are surrounded on all sides by the blue ocean and soft white cloudy sky.

I think that multi-canvas paintings have such a modern, contemporary and just plain updated cool look. I'm halfway through my next multi-canvas painting..."Nectar".... Hmm, any gueses as to what that might be?? You'll have to wait and see.
This painting is now listed in my ETSY shop: http://www.artfulcreations.etsy.com/ .

Hi Ruth
Love your canvas paintings - love the series you've created - aren't they just fabulous - the Gallery stretched canvas paintings are so very versatile in fitting into many different styles of decorating

You made me laugh over Orchid - yes that's our Guss too - not one bit scared of thunder - thankfully though, I've heard of terrible stories where frightened dogs jumped through windows on stormy nights - at least our doggies know they are safe and sound indoors - as long as those plastic bags don't come and attack them!

I hear you on the multi - canvas paintings.... the smaller ones are so nice to work with and as you said... they can be either contemporary or simple and elegant...

I too like working with them in that respect... its amazing what subjects you can do and the paintings turn out so interesting...

Nice job you have done on these two Ruth ... they are quite lovely..

Linda,

Ha, you hit it right on the head...Nectar is indeed a Hummingbird painting. A very different kind of painting for me, something I've never really done before and I loved it. I kind of like expanding to different themes and styles.

I was smitten with Poppies when seeing them fill a field in Germany. Ruth, you captured their playful beauty perfectly here! And I love the multi-canvas too! I always enjoy my visits to your blog, you make me smile!
